About Scott Coulton

Founder and Director of Nexus Consult, Scott has over 17 years’ experience in the construction and engineering sectors.

Scott started out in 2003 as a trainee quantity surveyor. After around ten years progressing the commercial ladder at respected UK Main Contractors, Scott relocated to Dubai. There he moved into a consultancy role with world leading construction consultancy Hill International and later, high profile dispute consultancy Driver Trett. At these leading international consulting firms Scott worked on large international disputes alongside some of the industry’s leading experts. As a result of this experience, Scott developed the technical skills and strong understanding needed in the resolution of construction disputes.

In 2018, Scott returned to the UK and accepted a senior management role at growing UK consultancy, Decipher Consulting. At Decipher, Scott was successful in managing and developing the commercial team. He introduced a number of new clients to the business and secured long term work for the business.

Having worked on high profile and complex projects supporting market leading clients, within the oil & gas, rail, airports, luxury hotels, retail, banking, power, student accommodation, commercial property, healthcare and mixed used sectors, Scott founded Nexus Consult in 2019. The firm assists subcontractors, contractors, employers and law firms across the UK and Middle East, with its service offering of project controls, dispute management and project advisory services.
